The color theme for this wedding will be red and white flowers. To keep a modern clean line we chose not to muffle the look with greenery and keep it very fresh looking. The bride will carry true red and dark red gerberas accented with stephanotis flowers high lighted with crystal rhinestones. All the bridesmaids are wearing red dresses and will carry bouquets of white gerbera daisies. The gentlemen will also wear boutonnieres designed of mini gerberas and the flower girl will wear a head wreath in red and white.
Gerberas are not the easiest of flowers to design wedding flowers with as they require alot of attention to get them ready. The most important step to process fresh cut gerbera is to make sure the florists buckets are sanitized with a bleach solution as gerbera can easily be affected by bacteria. To hydrate the daisy properly I find the best way to straight stems is to place a temporary stem sleeve on them while in the floral cooler. This will eliminate any bent stems. All the mini gerberas will need to be wired and then taped with floral tape to create the men's boutonnieres.
